I'm not impressed with the first single I head from this album (can't remember the name at the moment)... but I'll still check out the album.

On another note... what happened to your national squad against Serbia?? :|

I wasn't able to watch the game, but from what I gathered we got robbed big time. Poorly reffed game to say the least...what happened with that goal they took back? Did they ever give a reason other than "just because"? I'm surprised that England tied their 2nd match, but I didn't see any recaps of that one at all.

The referee who threw out the United States' would-be winning goal last week will not officiate another World Cup match anytime soon, FIFA announced Monday.

Mali-born Koman Coulibaly, who disallowed a crucial American goal against Slovenia on Friday night, was left off the list of referees for the next two days of matches.

The game ended in a 2-2 tie, rather than a 3-2 American victory that would have marked the biggest World Cup comeback ever.

FIFA officials have been tight-lipped about the controversial call.

"We do not comment on referee decisions," a spokesperson told The Wall Street Journal.

Coulibaly received a poor rating from FIFA following an expedited review of his performance Saturday, Yahoo! Sports reported

The ref took Klose from us after just a half hour for next to nothing. scratch Podolski tried his best, but was just plenty unlucky that day.

It rained cards that day (again). I don't get referees this time AT ALL. I read somewhere that statistics don't even support that, but I'm under the impressions that faulty decisions amass all over the board.

I listened to it twice and deleted it. It's an OK record but up against the first 4? Just doesn't cut it, IMO.

I have found myself listening to it more... it really is the best of his NEWER stuff, but I still have a fondness for Samhain & Danzig 1-4 era that can not be shaken....

Of course. How long have you loved those albums though? I think in the grand scope of his solo albums this one is easily 5th best...and I like 5,6,7 and 8. hahaha

True.

I didn't like the solos. Riffs were stale. His voice is turning to mush. Sounded like it was recorded in my basement. There were bits that I thought were repetitive. Sounded like they were trying to make a classic record but failed. Best record since 4P? Sure. Equal or better than the first 4? Nein.

Our Interview With The One And Only Glenn Danzig
By Skwerl
Wednesday, August 4, 2010

On June 22nd, punk/metal icon Danzig released their 9th full-length studio album, Deth Red Sabaoth. It has already proven to be their highest-charting album since the masterpiece Danzig 4p- the fourth classic in as many releases by the band between 1988 and 1994.

Deth Red Sabaoth’s success comes as no shock. I’ve already bought two copies; The first one sounded like it was recorded on a Tascam cassette 4-track, and I couldn’t help but wonder if it was intentional or a defective upload. Yet while it took me a week or so to figure out if its staggeringly rough sound was genius or tragedy, I wound up falling completely in love with the album.

We felt we had missed the boat on a proper review of the release, but were thrilled when the band’s management granted a friend of ours an interview with the one and only Glenn Danzig. I don’t mean to gush, but we were absolutely delighted to find this hero of ours such a down to earth, all-around cool guy to talk to. It’s just really so great to know that success hasn’t gone to his head.

Here’s the entire conversation, start to finish, completely unedited.

Antiquiet: After 6 years away from Danzig the band, what inspired you to go back again?

Glenn Danzig: Uh, I had songs.

Antiquiet: Okay, well was it hard to get into the mindset of writing those songs? Was it difficult in the studio–

Glenn Danzig [Interrupting]: I don’t write in the studio. [Hangs up.]

The man has spoken.

Danzig will be headlining the 20th anniversary run of the Blackest Of The Black tour, kicking off in October. The video for Deth Red Sabaoth’s lead single On A Wicked Night is headed for a debut somewhere between now and then.
