I always figured Dax was a Bauhaus fan. Someone ask him next time they see him.

Maybe it's just coincidence though.

I never really heard the Layne Staley thing a lot of people point out. shrug

Really? Hmm. I guess if you listen to some of his stuff on Euphoria Morning you might hear it a little.

so yeah, this thread is now a discussion about Dax's vocal influences/who he sounds like...

My first post on forum is going to be awful; Dax sounds like Billie Joe Armstrong on The wall of death and I hate that cover. Thankfully it is not a general comparison, because then I wouldn't have registered arr

I could hear more Chris Cornell than Layne...but I could definitely hear Layne on "We laugh like the dead"

The song's alright. I do like Bauhaus. The title "Beautiful Downgrade" actually comes from a Bauhaus lyric.

Woah that's cool. horns  I guess dax must dig 'em.  I've heard of this group forever but never listened to them.  I definitely hear a resemblance on i'll fall with your knife as far as dax sounding like peter murphy.

Anyone agree with my Beck comparison? I feel this way when I listen to Beck's stuff from "One Foot in the Grave" and "Sea Change." Awesome albums by the way.
