The reason I actually posted the interview is that Erik Wunder was inspired by Dax to form this band. Apparently the pic I posted of the interview is too small to read so here's the part where he talks about Dax:

"Around that time, I also went down to New orleans, something like a week or so after Mardi Gras and saw Deadboy And The Elephantmen play in Lafayette with some friends, and after the show we went to this appartment with a bunch of people and had this freestyle jam with Dax Riggs and his friends. I really liked how he was so confident in the new music he was writing, and even in the closed setting he would sing out the songs like he would in front of a 2,000 person crowd. That inspired me to believe in my own voice and really get into the exploration of a well-crafted song and put my own philosophy into it, be it directly or metaphorically."
