This is one of my favorite songs ever. I've looked EVERYWHERE for the tabs and cannot find them anywhere. I can sit and tab it out myself by ear, but I know it will be grossly inaccurate and will take me forever to do. It is an absolute beautiful and haunting song, and if somebody could get me the tabs, totally accurate or not, I will be eternally grateful!!!
-Thanks!

Alright, I've got a way I play it, and I've written down what I think the words are..
There's only five chords, all power chords. and the progression is
D - A - A# - F - E
For the begining I finger pick the first and third note of the power chords, like in the recording where he says "pick it out, like fucking twice" or whatever, for that bit.
So essentially it's
(pick each one twice)
-------------------------
-------------------------
--7----------------------
-------7----8----3-----2
--5----------------------
-------5----6----1-----0

Then the actual song is the same, just power chords instead of the first and third notes.
Does that make sense?

As for the words, I believe they're:

Wandering lonesome, the ghost of a ghost
You've got eyes like the angel at Eden's gate
Feelin' so lonely, the ghost of a ghost
Painting pictures in the sky
Oh how I love your eyes, just wave good
Wave goodbye
Heaven's child just wave goodbye

The ghost of young love (blood?) like a shadow rollin' over me
Queen of the Jukebox, she shot whiskey with the vampires and me
Wave goodbye, Heave's child, wave goodbye

Are you lonely? And righteous?
Are you scared that the devil will bite you?
Atomic (Bloody?) and blasphemous
So sure that the angels (aliens?) are watching us

i think he actually plays this one in dropped d.

i play the d-, a- and g-string on following frets:

12-7-8-3[->2]

it sounds pretty much exactly like the version on "skeletal circus derails".
if you don't get the rather simplified tab, feel free to ask.

I have the chords laid out with the lyrics in a Word Document. When I copy and paste, the words and chords no longer match up. Suggestions? Other than the obvious solution of emailing the file to someone more savvy than myself.

I've always played it the same as the original tab and it sounds perfect to me, there r only a few recordings of this song I'm aware of but dax is notorious for switching timings from standard to standard D and then playing the song like normal without adjusting for the diff tuning, good example 06-06-03 show he plays blood music in B flat and even says it, that being said it can b a bitch but I believe the chord progression in the first tab is how dax played it, the guy always plays in standard
